A Conversation and the 23rd Psalm

“I’ve come to take you home,” He said
“to my place that’s light and free.
You’ll reminisce with all your loved ones
waiting there for thee.”

“Time stands still,
you’ll age no more
youth will be yours
forever more.”

“There’ll be no worries,
no grief, nor pain
All your days will be bright
no clouds, nor rain.”

“I’ll hold your hand
should ever you call
and I’ll walk beside you
fearless and tall.”

“Sorrow will be
a thing of the past
I’ll keep you strong
’til all has passed.”

“My son, I love you
so much more
and I’ll keep you near
forever more.”

“No more tears, now
I’ll wipe them dry
hold fast to me
let time subside.”

“For here I Am
as I have always been
beside you, guiding you
leading you, and then:

Here I Am
Again, you see
I’ve come to take you home
your spirit, now free.”

“Let go of your sorrow
let go of your pain
let go of your fear, for:”

“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’ sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.” – the 23rd Psalm
