CarolAnn, what a wonderful letter, and it does read like an open letter. I'm almost jealous. I've written a book called "Dancing With Tulips" though it could just as easily be about butterflies and not tulips. Actually, in the story they are kind of synonymous, and so much as you describe above . . . triumph over hardship, and something that endures, well, everything!

I'm still new to blogging, have yet to do any guest blog, but soon I would love to include what you've written here in my blog, so please let me know if that's okay - I'd be honored to do so.

So, you entire article can be summed up as secession is bad because they won't get handouts. Sad, pathetic, and utterly inexcusable; your handout-dependent generation is exactly what makes secession appealing. The time has long past for progressives to step up for what they believe and support the wastrels in society themselves, or realize socialism is a failure; always has been, always will be. Considering there are more of us (workers) advocating for secession, you probably should have given more thought to that fact before you climbed way up there on your high horse. Yes, there will be a period of adjustment as territories decide how they will function, control their borders, and manage trade. However, you won't have to worry about that since your area will be filled with the drug addicts, illegal immigrants, the mentally ill, "special" needs children; and best of all, the inmates from the prisons. In fact, if the other territories adopt a policy similar to our refusing to be burdened by deviants who cannot conform to society, your lib-loving buds will be forced to take them into your area. (Texas and S. Carolina are probably working hard right now to restore Sparky). When the split happens, and it will very soon, we will each choose our fate; but at least, by God, we will have a choice.

The "truth" is that we are all, first and foremost, in spirit. We (as spirits) choose to incarnate to learn something through our lives' purpose. Life on earth is only temporary and we return "home" after life when we are reunited with our loved ones. Home is sometimes referred to as the source of all energy or God (since man likes to put a face on everything.)

People choose to have children here on earth, but they do not choose their spirit. The spirit chooses the parents. The parents give their genetics and create the environment for the child to grow and develop, but everyone has their own spirit. A person's spirit doesn't come from the parents.

So, if you want proof that there is something more, ask yourself the question, where is your spirit from. We all have individual and unique spirits that live on. How many people have children and say they are all different. They are all different because they are separate and unique spirits and the spirit "energy" never dies.
